    Creating Tournament Brackets

Learn how to create and share tournament brackets. Check out each guide below.

    What is a Tournament Bracket?

A tournament bracket is used for elimination-style competitions. Participants who lose are eliminated, and the winner is determined by continuous victories. It's characterized by fewer matches and quick determination of the champion.

    Features

    • Fewer matches, quick completion
    • Easy to visualize the progression
    • Clear winner determination

    Recommended for

    • Large number of participants
    • Limited time available
    • Sports and gaming competitions

    Single Elimination

The simplest tournament format where one loss means elimination. It requires the fewest matches but has a larger element of chance since one defeat determines placement.

    • Fewest number of matches
    • Simple and easy to understand
    • Larger element of chance

    Double Elimination

A format where participants aren't eliminated until they lose twice. Even after one loss, you can continue in the losers bracket and still win. It provides fairer ranking but requires more matches.

    • Second chance after one loss
    • Fairer ranking determination
    • Popular in esports and card game tournaments
